Dear Homeowners Association (HOA) Board,
I hope this letter finds you well. As a long-standing member of our community, I feel compelled to express my growing concerns regarding an issue that has been bothering me for quite some time. I must emphasize that my intention is not to come across as a typical "boomer" complaining about every little thing, but rather to highlight a legitimate problem that affects the peace, safety, and well-being of our neighborhood.
The specific matter I would like to address is the persistent noise and reckless driving exhibited by a particular vehicle in our community. This particular vehicle is a red car that resides in the Unit Number 63. It is a regrettable situation, and I believe that the HOA can play a crucial role in ensuring our neighborhood remains a pleasant place to live for everyone.
First and foremost, the excessive noise generated by the engine of this car has become a significant disturbance. The disruptive rumbling, especially during late hours of the night or early mornings, disrupts our sleep and affects the overall tranquility of our homes. Additionally, the constant revving of the engine creates an atmosphere of tension and unease that is unwelcome in a residential area like ours.
Furthermore, the issue of speeding is deeply concerning. The driver of this vehicle consistently disregards the posted speed limits within our neighborhood, endangering the lives of pedestrians, pets, and fellow drivers. We must prioritize the safety of our community members, particularly children, who may be at risk of accidents due to the reckless behavior of this individual. It is essential that we take proactive measures to address this before any unfortunate incidents occur.
Given the circumstances, I kindly request that the HOA take appropriate action to address this matter. Here are a few suggestions to consider:
Increased Surveillance: Install additional security cameras in strategic locations throughout the neighborhood to capture the license plate and identify the vehicle responsible for the noise and speeding. This evidence will be crucial when addressing the issue with the authorities, if necessary.
Speed Bumps or Traffic Calming Measures: Explore the possibility of implementing physical measures such as speed bumps or traffic calming devices to deter speeding and promote a safer environment for all residents.
Awareness Campaign: Initiate an awareness campaign to educate residents about the importance of adhering to traffic rules and maintaining a peaceful neighborhood. This could include distributing informational flyers or organizing community meetings to address concerns and encourage responsible behavior.
Contacting the Local Authorities: If the issue persists, it may be necessary to involve the local authorities and inform them about the ongoing problem, providing any evidence gathered to support their investigation.
I trust that the HOA Board shares my concerns and will take appropriate action to address this issue promptly. It is our collective responsibility to maintain the peace, harmony, and safety of our community. I appreciate your attention to this matter and eagerly await a positive resolution.
Thank you for your time and understanding.
Gate was over twenty years old, actuators old hydraulic system, inefficient and costly. High Maintenance. With the constant deliveries being made by UPS, Amazon, FedEx, etc. etc. it was decided to leave gate open during the day to allow for delivery traffic, and relieve breakdown of gate system.
