Front Gate Cost

Why was this community told at the July community meeting that the front gate was costing between $15,000 and $18,000 then at the August community meeting the cost was $40,000 and going up? This is clearly a reckless expenditure of community funds. Yes, this prodject was going to be expensive, however doubling in price is out of reason.
